Activity 1: Where Would I Live?

I would stay here in the Philippines. I already am adjusted to this place, because I live in it. It also has lots of resources, and a variety of landforms such as mountains, hills, volcanic plains, rivers, ect. It also has good aquaculture and marine life, making it good to fish as well. It also has trade routes to many places, making it a center for trade. It's quite a good place to live in, with many advantages.

I would adapt by trying to know my surroundings. Although my body is already accustomed to the climate of the Philippines, I still probably need to know how to live in a less modern environment. From what I'm understanding this question as, this would

Activity 2: How Would I Live?

I think, if I were to live on a mountain, I would live in a bahay kubo built with wood from surrounding trees. I would imagine travelling by foot, because I wouldn't imagine many rivers up on mountains. I imagine being a rice farmer, farming on rice terraces. And I would wear durable pants and boots because I would walk a lot, and a Salakot to shade myself in the heat of the sun.

Activity 3: Resource Management

  1. Turning off the lights when you're not using them, turning electronics off when you're not using them, not wasting resources, like food.
  2. Probably tracking how much time you spend in the bathroom. Because the more time you spend in the bathroom, the more resources you waste.

Activity 4: Practices

Some things that I found fascinating about ancient civilizations in Southeast Asia and their people are their expertise in the sea. They already built boats and travelled to other places with them. They visited other civilisations. They developed relationships and trade. They communicated with each other for the better of both. I find it fascinating that people in ancient civilisations were so adept at the sea.

It's important to respect cultural differences because, although we now have very tight relationships with each other, we and our ancestors face different things. Each of us has a unique history related to our past and heritage that affects our culture, traditions, and practices. We can still see the mark made by our ancestors from very long ago, from the places that we visit, to the very words we speak.

Activity 5: A Letter to Myself

Dear Kristoff De Vera

Hello, Kristoff. I hope this message finds you well. You may be wondering who I am, are you? I am a soldier, during what you know as the year 1766. I am your great-great-great-grandfather, so I am told. Currently, I'm travelling to fight for my kingdom, Ayutthaya, what you now know as Thailand. Here is some advice for you. Remember to stay hardworking and diligent in what you do, and fight for what you think is right.
